I’m guessing you have big goals and dreams. I know I do! And that’s probably why you’re here. Have you been at that point of frustration yet? Knowing you want something more for your family, knowing you want to do something about the situation you’re in, wanting freedom, wanting to do more financially, wanting to spend more time with your kids, get on your boat more, et cetera…
 
I’ve been there. (Other than the boat part, ha!)
 
I’ve had that moment over and over… being dissatisfied with where I was, but in a GOOD, push-you-further kind of way… Experiencing an intense desire to change my circumstances, experience true freedom, and satisfy the desires of my heart. But now what?
 
And that’s where this Goal Setting training needs to start. In order to move forward with CONFIDENCE, you have to clearly understand WHY you’re in business. Then we can make a plan for moving you forward, step-by-step so you can take action on that dream.
 
Building a business is NOT easy. There are tons of rewards, and equal amounts of challenges, as I’m sure you know! If your WHY was in a burning building, would it be strong enough that you would run and do whatever it takes to save it?! Your WHY has to be stronger than your desire “not to”.

I want you to dig deep and push through this. It’s now or never. Stick with me for THREE DAYS (you’re almost through day 1!), but it’s the beginning of something amazing in your life so you can feel empowered to move forward on your goals and have a PLAN to get you there, step-by-step.
 
Take some time today to start this journey of discovering YOUR why. Everything
else stems from it, and any future success you can have is made all the sweeter if it drives to this one thought… Why?
 
It’s time to sit down, grab a notebook, and set aside 10-15 minutes to work through the questions below. I can’t do the work for you, but I can give you the tools and encouragement needed to do this. Be sure to reach out to me if you have a question or trouble getting these ideas down:
 
  • What keeps you up at night? (If it’s excitement, what are you excited about? If it’s pain, how can your business help you solve that pain through time/stress management?)

  • What gets you up in the morning? What would get you so excited about getting up in the morning that it would overpower your desire to sleep in?
  • If you knew you only had 5 years left, what would you do? How would your priorities shift?
  • When it comes to your “bad” habits, what kinds of things would stop those dead in their tracks? (It might help to jot down the bad habit that comes to mind and think about what would make you change that habit)
  • What sets your soul on fire? Can you connect this to your business, or does your business support whatever you wrote down?
  • If you were going to save the world, how would you do it? How can you make a difference in the world, even if it’s something small?

  • What makes you angry when you think about missing out?
 
To be effective, your why has to cause a strong emotional reaction. Your desire to change has to be stronger than your desire to stay the same.
